Features:
The purpose of the fixture is to locate one or more parts
and clamp it in the paint mask for painting. This
is accomplished by using air cylinder(s) that raise
and lower the part in and out of the paint mask.
Once the style of fixture is determined, it is designed
and built to the size of the molded part. Our fixtures
are steel weldments and air operated using hand valves,
foot pedals, or two hand safety controls. The fixture
is mounted on a floor stand with casters for moving
to and from the paint booth.
In order to align the part to the paint mask, a part
locating nest is needed. There are many different methods
for making these locating nests. While some nests are
fabricated completely from welded stainless steel, others
are poured with epoxies or urethane casting materials.
The nest is then mounted on the above described fixture.
Our objective is to build systems that result in a quality
painted part, time after time. To do this, we electroform
nickel plate the actual part in our plating system. This
electroformed cavity is cut and custom crafted by our
experienced tool makers to meet our customers specifications
for part painting. It is then attached to a stainless
steel frame plate aligned to the part locating nest and
fixture.
The completed tooling and fixture will produce hundreds
of approved finished parts.
